Another Fun Night of Folk Singing!

The March show was so much fun. A really great bunch of people in the audience. We were also honoured to have 60's Yorkville folkies Klaas van Graft from the 'Chanteclairs', and Chick Roberts and Harvey Kotler of 'The Sinners', in the audience singing along. They've been great supporters of this series. And last night they brought along their friend, the wonderful Josh White Jr. visiting from New York. It really was one of those magic nights!

Thanks so much to everyone who came out for our First Anniversary show in January. 

The music room at the Free Times Cafe was packed with enthusiastic folk sing-a-longers. What a great way to start the year off!!

Last Night and Next Show with New Start Time!

♪ ♫•*¨*•.¸♪ Wow, last evening was a wonderful cap off to the first year of our 'Where Have All The Folk Songs Gone' series at the Free Times Cafe. We launched it last January and have had the opportunity to play to great audiences each month since. Our goal is to stay true to the original arrangements and present as "authentic" a production of the music as possible.  It's hard to express what it's like to hear an entire audience singing along to the great songs of the 60's folk revival, but I think "joyful" sums it up nicely!

We are looking forward to continuing this series in 2014. The next show is Wednesday, January 15th. And we will be trying out a new start time...      

Doors open 6:30 p.m. / Music Starts at 7:30 p.m.

•*¨*• ♫ ♪...I'd forgotten, until today, that we'd tucked our FLIP camera in a corner at our June 'Where Have All The Folk Songs Gone' show at The Free Times Cafe. I've edited it down to a few minutes...truth be told, more like 5 minutes. It was such a fun evening. As you'll hear if you watch the video...everyone in the room was singing!! Sometimes it's hard to tell which voices are ours and which are coming from the audience! And, we get to do it all again on Wednesday, August 21st!
